For an individual under 35 years of age who owns or manages a business. This award recognises authentic leadership, confidence in decision-making, business growth, and personal impact.

Submission Questions

Provide a brief overview of yourself, your role, and the business you own or manage. Include key background information that helps judges understand your responsibilities, experience, and the context in which you operate. (300 words max)
How do you demonstrate authenticity as a business leader? Describe how you personally build trust with your team, customers, partners, and stakeholders. You may wish to include how your values guide your decisions, how you communicate openly, and how you respond in challenging situations or when things don’t go to plan. (500 words max)
How have you demonstrated confidence in your leadership through the decisions you’ve made? Share examples of how you have driven growth, innovation, or positive change within the business. This could include taking calculated risks, backing new ideas, or making tough calls that have shaped the direction or success of the business. (300 words max)
How have you personally led your business through changing or challenging conditions (e.g. economic pressures, market shifts, or internal challenges)? Describe how you balanced authenticity and confidence in your approach, including how you communicated, made decisions, and supported others during this time. (300 words max)
How have you grown as a leader, and how are you continuing to develop your capability and confidence? What is your vision for your future impact as a business leader? (300 words max)
