This award will recognise a retail business which can demonstrate it has developed and implemented a business plan to grow the sales of their goods and/or services to the public. It is open to independent retailers and locally owned franchises who can demonstrate business growth in the Ipswich region.
Property and Real Estate Award
With demand for housing and population growth at an all time high, this award recognises those businesses which have capitalised on the many opportunities in this sector .
Business Support Services Award
Ipswich is a regional hub for many sectors, in particular those services which support business to do business including accountants, lawyers, financial advisors, banks, marketing and IT firms, and business consultant
Building and Construction Award
The Building and Construction Award recognises the importance of this industry to our growing city. The award will be open to all businesses in the building industry: from carpenters, bricklayers, plumbers, and electricians, to drafters, architects, and interior designers.
Education, Training & Skilling Award
This award recognises those organisations educating, training and skilling our future workforce, reskilling those looking to re-enter the workforce, or helping those who need to acquire some new skills to navigate an ever-changing workplace.
Tourism Award
Ipswich receives 1.28 million visitors each year with a total visitor expenditure of $183 million. This award recognises businesses or events providing a unique offering to visitors and which have made a significant contribution to tourism in our region.
Health and Wellness Business Award
The significance of the health sector in our growing region is undeniable. This award recognises outstanding businesses in the health sector, from podiatrists to pathologists, occupational therapists to massage therapists, dieticians to doctors.
Food & Agribusiness Award
This award recognises outstanding businesses in food processing, hospitality, and agribusiness. From paddock to plate, this award shines a light on this sector and supply chain with a view to helping it grow.
Small Business of the Year
Ipswich is home to 10,638 businesses, the majority of them small business. This award recognises the crucial role small business plays in our local economy and is open to businesses with less than 10 employees.
Business of the Year
This award recognises businesses with 10 employees or more that can demonstrate how they have grown their business through developing and implementing their business plan.
Community Involvement Award
This award recognises those businesses who make a significant impact in our local community, be it through support for sporting clubs, stepping up at times of crisis, or supporting those in our community who are doing it tough. It is testament to the sense of community that continues to exist in Ipswich even as its population has grown.
Young Business Person of the Year
This award recognises those young people who have made a significant contribution to a local business. The award is open to all business people aged 35 years and under. The person will be a business owner or in a management position.
Business Person of the Year
This award recognises an outstanding contribution by an individual in a business. We are looking for a business person - over 35 years of age - who can demonstrate how they have implemented a plan to help their business grow.
Customer Service Award
The customer service award will be judged entirely on customers’ testimonials. Tell us in 200 words or less how a business you know has provided exceptional customer service. It will be quality not quantity that will be judged by our panel of independent judges.
