The first step is to complete the online nomination form from this website. Nominations open on January 1st, 2020. Nominations close on September 14th 2020 and you will be advised if your nomination was successful. Nominees are then required to have their online Submission in by Wednesday 30th September at 5pm AEST.
Almost all businesses operating in Ipswich are eligible to nominate for the awards. This includes:
- businesses headquartered in Ipswich
- businesses that are operating in Ipswich but not headquartered here
The following organisations are not eligible to nominate:
- Award sponsors are not eligible to nominate in their own sponsored category, however they can enter other categories
- Businesses closely tied to award sponsors, such as parent or subsidiary companies, should confirm their eligibility.
- Not-for-profit businesses that are registered companies.
Yes, businesses may enter all categories if they choose. The only categories that are not open for direct nomination are:
- Ipswich Region Food & Agribusiness Network Business Excellence Award
This award is presented to an individual, business or organisation which has made an outstanding contribution to the Food, Hospitality, Tourism and Agribusiness sectors in the Region
- Ipswich Region Chamber of Commerce President’s Award
This special award is determined by the President of the Ipswich Chamber. This is the ultimate award presented on the evening and can be presented to an individual, business or organisation which has made an outstanding contribution to business in the Ipswich region over an extended period.
Enlist the help of people involved in your business. Once you believe you have completed your entry, get a second opinion and seek an opinion from someone impartial. Please note, however, that while the Chamber’s staff and agents can answer technical questions relating to the process, they cannot assist you with your entry.
Yes categories are limited to the 2019 / 2020 financial year.
Ipswich Chamber will keep entries for a period of 14 days after the Business Awards after which time the entries will be destroyed. All information on these entries will be kept confidential.
Throughout the judging process the information contained in your submission will only be accessible to Ipswich Chamber’s Executive Manager, Administration Assistant and the Award Judges, each of whom is required to sign a strict confidentiality agreement.
The judges are local experts drawn from relevant business disciplines.
All finalists will receive an email advising of the outcome on Monday 12th October.
Ticket Sales open in September and an email will be sent to all nominees with a link to the ticketing
site. Information will also be available on the Ipswich Region Chamber of Commerce Awards page.
